To increase security on October 4, 2010 Canada Revenue Agency replaced the existing EPASS system with a new security password system.
Those who currently use My Account, My Business Account and Represent a Client online services will be prompted to change over to the new service. You will need the five security questions and answers used to initially set up your account. You will be asked for identification in the form of either your access code and postal code or SIN and date of birth, asked to answer three of your five security questions and walked through creating a new CRA user ID and password. You will then select the Service(s) you wish to register for.
Any new applicants will automatically be directed to the new security system rather then EPASS.
