Padgett Business Services is proud to announce that Emilie Jerome has joined us as a summer student. Emilie just completed her first year at McGill University in Montreal. She is entering her second year this fall and is working towards obtaining her Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting and a minor in Economics. After this, she hopes to go on to follow in her father’s footsteps and acquire a Chartered Accountant Designation. Emilie graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School in 2011; she graduated with honors and was also awarded the Trusty’s Trophy as well as her Business Certificate.
Both of Emilie’s parents are accountants so the she is no stranger to the career, but what interests her most about accounting is the structure and dependency that numbers offer, as the old adage says, “Numbers never lie”. Accounting also offers her the opportunity to meet and learn about people from all walks of life.
Emilie is back from school for the summer and looks forward to working at Padgett. Working in a dynamic and challenging environment such as Padgett will give her the opportunity to apply many of the principles learned in school as well as to develop her skills for whatever the future may hold for her.
