Ontario Will Weather Economic Storm With Strong, Stable Plan

Premier Dalton McGuinty said today the top priority for Ontario’s government is creating jobs and boosting the economy.

In a major speech to the Economic Club of Canada today, the Premier said that in a period of slower growth in the global economy, it is more important than ever for Ontarian’s to work together to strengthen Ontario’s economy. The Premier also noted that even in the midst of a global economic storm, Ontario is a safer haven than most thanks to our highly skilled and educated workforce, our strong health care system and investments in infrastructure that have kept our economy moving.

Further details of the government’s plan to strengthen the economy and create jobs will be spelled out in the coming Speech from the Throne and the government’s Fall Economic Statement.
