This three-day educational seminar, sponsored by Padgett Business Services corporate headquarters, is designed to prepare franchise owners for the upcoming tax season.
Topics covered this year included: 2008 Tax Legislation and Canada Revenue Agency updates, Small Business and Individual Taxpayer Issues, Trust and Estate Topics, Investment Strategies, and Retirement Planning.
“Every year there are changes in tax law that can impact both individuals and small business owners,” said Karen. “With this seminar, I go into the tax season better equipped to help my clients with their business and tax planning needs.”
Laura Orr, an employee at the Kanata Padgett office also recently completed an H&R Block personal income tax course. This course focused on tax legislation, and how to maximize the tax benefits for individuals and their families.
